PURPOSE

Ascends Fleet Manager is responsible for managing a fleet of drivers to meet or exceed all required metrics, maximize revenue, and minimize costs, and meet or exceed the customer’s service needs.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Coordinate with operational personnel and dispatch drivers.
• Ensure driver safety and promote a safe work environment.
• Manage driver performance, including feedback and disciplinary actions.
• Monitor and manage out-of-route mileage and enforce company policies.
• Facilitate communication and problem resolution between drivers, operations, and management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1 year of trucking/transportation experience required
• Fleet manager or Dispatch experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND TRAITS

• Effective self-management and leadership skills.
• Strong communication abilities.
• Proficient with computer-based tasks and software systems.
• Skilled in independent decision-making and planning.
• Builds effective relationships and fosters teamwork.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, & LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED.
