PURPOSE

Technician B is accountable to maintain company equipment in accordance with company standards while maximizing utilization and uptime with a focus on company cost objectives. Technician B’s targeted productivity goal is 96% or above completions, within or under standard repair time, with rework at 3% or lower.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Perform major repairs on tractor trailers independently and efficiently.
• Ensure high-quality and cost-effective equipment repairs.
• Assist in diagnostic routines for effective problem-solving.
• Mentor and train junior technicians.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum one year of experience in Class 8 maintenance and repair.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, & LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Vendor-sponsored training in major vehicle components is preferred.
• Certified in Brake and Wheel End Maintenance.
• Certified in A/C Repair and Recovery.
