PURPOSE

The Technician A is accountable to maintain company equipment in accordance with company standards, while maximizing utilization and uptime with a focus on company cost objectives. Technician A’s targeted productivity goal is 97% or above completions, within or under standard repair time, with rework at 2% or lower.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Perform major repairs independently and efficiently.
• Schedule tasks effectively to achieve goals.
• Prioritize quality, cost control, and safety in equipment repairs.
• Mentor and train technicians while promoting a safe and collaborative work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum three years of experience in Class 8 maintenance and repair.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND TRAITS

• Experience with computer-based maintenance systems.
• Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience.
• Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results.
• Ability to promote a culture of trust and safety.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, & LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Vendor sponsored training in major vehicle components.
• Certified in Torch and Welder Usage.
• Certified in Brake and Wheel End Maintenance.
• Certified in A/C Repair and Recovery.
