We are unique in that on top of a base salary you will earn 5% of every settlement you achieve.
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Plaintiff's Personal Injury Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping injured individuals seek justice.
Responsibilities:
- Handle a caseload of personal injury cases from inception through resolution.
- Conduct client intake interviews, investigate claims, and assess case viability.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
- Represent clients in mediation, arbitration, and court proceedings.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and provide compassionate support throughout the legal process.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the New York State Bar with active license in good standing.
- 4 years of experience practicing personal injury law.
- Strong negotiation and litigation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to client advocacy and achieving favorable outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Trial experience in personal injury litigation.
- Knowledge of New York civil procedure and case law.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or other languages commonly spoken in New York City.
