Position Overview:

The Washington, DC office has an immediate opening in its Cyber & Data Security Team, within its Litigation & Trial Practice group, for an associate with 2-6 years' experience. The optimal candidate will have strong experience in breach investigations and responses, as well as substantive experience in cybersecurity and privacy counseling.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in a U.S. State Bar.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing cyber and data security law, preferably at a reputable law firm or in-house legal department.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and other relevant privacy laws.
• Experience advising clients on cybersecurity incident response, data breach notification, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment.
