Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join the team. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling insurance defense matters, including but not limited to, defending clients in personal injury, property damage, and insurance coverage disputes.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in insurance defense litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
• Prepare and attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to develop case strategies and tactics.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance carriers.
• Manage caseload efficiently and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality work product.
• Stay current on developments in insurance law and related legal areas.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Texas in good standing.
• 2-8 years of experience practicing insurance defense law.
• Strong litigation skills, including courtroom experience.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to client service and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience handling a variety of insurance defense matters, including auto accidents, premises liability, and construction defect cases.
• Familiarity with Texas civil procedure and rules of evidence.
• Prior experience working with insurance carriers and adjusters.
• Trial experience or experience second-chairing trials.
