Responsibilities:

• Represents clients in diverse bankruptcy matters, including foreclosures, evictions, Chapter 11 reorganizations, Chapter 13 repayment plans, and Chapter 7 liquidations.
• Conducts thorough legal research, prepares legal documents such as bankruptcy petitions, motions, and pleadings.
• Advises clients on their rights and options under bankruptcy law, ensuring they understand the implications of different bankruptcy chapters.
• Negotiates with creditors, lenders, and opposing counsel to achieve favorable settlements.
• Appears in court for bankruptcy hearings, foreclosure proceedings, and eviction cases.
• Provides strategic counsel to clients throughout the bankruptcy process, from initial consultations to case resolution.
• Maintains accurate case records, manages deadlines, and ensures compliance with bankruptcy codes and local court procedures.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in TEXAS
• Proven track record of 1-3 years practicing bankruptcy law with a focus on foreclosures, evictions, and Chapters 11, 13, and 7.
• Strong understanding of bankruptcy laws, procedures, and local court rules.
• Experience handling complex bankruptcy cases and distressed financial situations.
• Excellent negotiation skills, effective communication abilities, and proficiency in client management.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic legal environment.
