About the Role:

Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

Project Summary:

• Ascendion seeks a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our DevOps group, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Your expertise with MS Azure, OpenShift, Jenkins, and CI/CD processes will be essential in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain our cloud infrastructure on MS Azure, ensuring scalability, availability, and security.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for automated builds, tests, and deployments.
• Work closely with development teams to automate and streamline operations and processes.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.

Required Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role in a healthcare or similarly regulated environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with MS Azure cloud services (Azure DevOps, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure SQL Database, etc.).
• Proficiency in building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration tools such as Openshift or Kubernetes.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Healthcare background
• Open to work onsite if needed.
• Over 10 years of experience.

Location: Chicago, IL or Richardson, TX

Salary Range:  The salary for this position is between $100,000 - $135,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
