About the Role:

Job Title: Software Development Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Working with the Software Source Control Management system to support the software development process, test and validation of software features on hardware, and management of unit-specific configurations.

• Creating, tracking, and closing Issue tickets that address software Tasks, Features, Bugs, and Improvements;

• Building and executing test plans and scripts to ensure that OISL software systems maintain Kuiper system-level compatibility.

• Scheduling, validating, and releasing new software versions on a periodic basis to ensure that software is delivered on a timely basis.

• Communicating technical information in multiple tools, including Jira, Confluence, Code Browser, and Bitbucket and

• Ensuring software deliverables are aligned to support business needs; detect misalignments, propose resolutions or workarounds, and escalate as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 4 years of professional software development experience.

• 3 years of programming experience with at least one software programming language

• 2 years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems

• Experience as a mentor, tech lead OR leading an engineering team

• 7 years of embedded software development experience

• 5 years of work experience in Consumer Electronics, Robotics, Aerospace, Automotive, and/or Communications fields

• B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering or related discipline, or 10 years of equivalent experience in embedded SW development.

Location: Redmond, Washington

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $120K - 130K annually. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
