Ascendo Resources is actively seeking an Accounting Clerk for an immediate, ongoing temporary assignment with a our client located in Purchase, NY.

Job Title: Accounting Assistant
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 9-5pm (35 hrs)
Pay Range: $25-32/hr

Responsibilities:

• Obtain and report data to the manager.
• Download data from tracking reports.
• Prepare spreadsheets for data analysis and prepare sub-ledgers.
• Compile supporting schedules for quarter-end closing
• Close out leases, review journal entries, perform reconciliations, and make necessary adjustments
• Receive bills and process payments (with assistance from AP department).
• Make necessary phone calls to ensure payments are processed on time.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics or Finance, preferred
• Proficiency with MS Excel (pivot table and VLOOKUP must
• 1 years of accounting experience
