Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the accounts payable team, providing guidance and support.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and payments.
- Review and approve invoices for payment, ensuring proper coding and authorization.
- Conduct regular audits of accounts payable transactions to maintain accuracy and completeness.
- Manage the vendor invoice approval process, resolving issues and discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and process weekly payment runs, including checks, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
- Collaborate with Procurement and other departments to resolve vendor inquiries and payment issues.
- Maintain accounting controls by enforcing policies and procedures, and complying with legal requirements.
- Prepare and analyze accounts payable aging reports and other financial reports as required.
- Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable.
- Train and mentor accounts payable staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Handle special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 5 years of accounts payable experience, with 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, payment methods, and vendor management.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience with month-end close processes and financial reporting.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
