Private equity company in the building supply industry; GROWING rapidly, and as they acquire to take on new projects is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support the finance and accounting team and report into the Financial Controller in NY, NY 10013. This is an on-site opportunity offering a base salary depending on experience with a discretionary bonus depending on company and personal performance. The total employees in the department consists of a team of 15; 2 Financial Controllers, Operational Controller, 5 Staff Accountants, 5 AP, and 7 AR.

The ideal Accounts Receivable Specialist holds the following credentials:

• Degreed in Accounting or Finance, Business, or Similar is a Plus.
• 1 years of AR experience; will handle 150 accounts to manage, reach out to customers and collect, get payment updates, and follow-ups. Collection if payments are not being received in a professional manner. Work with sales and operators.
• Strong communication skills and not reluctant to call and have ownership of accounts. Confident and well spoken. Strong customer service.
• Detailed and organized. Knowing what to prioritize; and being responsive.
• Growth – can become team lead or become a Manager, or grow into a different team such as AP or Accounting, etc.
