We are seeking an individual with vast experience in Operational Risk who is willing to join an exciting client of ours as a Risk and Control Officer. You will be responsible for the following:

• Lead the RCSA process across various bank departments, acting as an operational expert to identify and mitigate operational risks effectively.
• Analyze background information on business unit activities to gain a comprehensive understanding of the areas being assessed.
• Work closely with risk owners to evaluate key processes, identify risks, assess mitigating controls, and develop action plans to address any identified gaps.
• Partner with relevant departments to investigate operational risk events, perform root cause analyses, and recommend improvements.
• Record and update the operational risk events register to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
• Use tracking tools to monitor the implementation of action plans addressing residual risks identified in RCSAs and operational risk event mitigation plans.
• Ensure that process owners have effectively implemented the action plans.
• Oversee the risk management of third-party vendors.
• Create and maintain business continuity plans to ensure operational resilience.
• Handle incident management processes, ensuring timely and effective responses to operational incidents.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for the Board Risk Committee.
• Collaborate with other departments to promote a strong operational risk culture across the bank.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
• 5 years of experience within operational risk within a financial services industry
• Bilingual - English & Spanish preferred
