We are seeking a talented Social Media and Communications Coordinator to join our team. This role involves managing various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter, spearheading monthly newsletters, assisting in grant writing and creating marketing materials.

The ideal candidate will have proficiency in social media management systems, particularly Constant Contact, and the ability to communicate effectively across media platforms and with organizational stakeholders. Experience in graphic design tools like Canva and CapCut is required.

The position would be fully onsite Tuesday – Thursday and remote Monday and Friday, with the hours of 10am to 4pm. (Approx. 30-35hrs/week)

By effectively managing our social media presence, engaging with our audience and assisting with grant writing, the Social Media and Communications Coordinator will play a pivotal role in achieving our organization's goals.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter, through Constant Contact
• Manage and lead the marketing meetings with Board Members. Track meeting progress, provide members with action notes and follow up needs, and report findings.
• Assist President in grant writing and sponsorship requests.
• Create visually appealing content using Canva for social media posts, monthly newsletters, and layouts for annual reports. Research and tag organization partners and relevant stakeholders in social media content. Adjust provided content to optimize engagement and reach.
• Collaborate with Programs Manager to schedule and coordinate social media posts.
• Support local events and assist with the Annual Report in January/February.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in social media management systems, particularly Constant Contact.
• Strong understanding of various social media platforms and their respective best practices.
• Ability to create engaging visual content using Canva.
• Proficiency in Microsoft operating systems for presentations and design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Non-profit experience preferred but not required.
