Our Am Law 200 client, a nationally-ranked Privacy & Information Security Law Practice group has an opening for a senior level associate or Special Counsel with a solid background in federal and state privacy law, including routine client counseling and assisting clients in data privacy and information security, advertising and marketing technology, and other consumer protection law matters. Ideal candidates should have the following:

• Previous law firm experience, and at least 7 years of experience in Privacy law matters;
• Extensive experience counseling and working directly with clients to provide clear, practical advice on all of the current crop of U.S. state privacy laws and at least general familiarity with international privacy laws;
• Experience with regulatory investigations or privacy litigation;
• Excellent writing and presentation skills;
• Excellent organizational skills and comfort with working with multiple clients; and
• Excellent academic credentials and strong interpersonal skills.

They work seamlessly across office lines and are open to considering experienced candidates in any of our client's offices but have a strong preference for the candidate to be based in Washington, D.C.. Bar admission is required in an attorney’s resident and/or affiliated office.

The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in Washington, DC if selected for the role. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees, and certifications (e.g., JD/technology) for example.
