Job Title: Labor & Employment Attorney

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Labor & Employment Attorney to join a dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will provide expert legal counsel on a broad range of labor and employment matters, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. This role requires strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to managing complex legal issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of labor and employment matters, including but not limited to employment contracts, workplace policies, employee relations, terminations, wage and hour compliance, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims.
• Represent clients in employment-related litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and appearing in court.
• Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local labor and employment laws and regulations.
• Conduct internal investigations related to employee complaints and workplace issues.
• Develop and deliver training programs on employment law topics for clients and their employees.
• Draft, review, and negotiate employment-related agreements, including severance agreements, non-compete agreements, and confidentiality agreements.
• Stay current with developments in labor and employment law and proactively advise clients on potential impacts.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals within the firm to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in labor and employment law, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
• High ethical standards and professional integrity.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience representing clients in employment-related litigation.
• Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
• Experience conducting internal investigations.
• Familiarity with employment-related compliance training programs.
