The Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform duties directly under the Supervision of the Dean of Operations. The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping education facilities, equipment, furnishings clean and organized. Responsibilities include ensuring the common areas, offices, and classrooms are clean, and maintaining the cleaning equipment to ensure everything needed for cleaning the school is stocked and ready. Other Responsibilities include common repairs, troubleshooting and problem solving.

Responsibilities may include:

• Provide leadership to the custodial department.
• Distribute information as needed from the Dean of Operations to the custodial department.
• Assist with interviewing candidates for custodian or maintenance positions.
• Monitor the custodial department and their functions to assure they are working within the scope of their job responsibilities.
• Perform routine maintenance of custodial equipment, supplies, and any other facilities needs. Sometimes perform this maintenance alongside a contractor or other vendor, and/or know when it is necessary to contact an outside contractor to repair or replace the equipment or item.
• Working in conjunction with the Dean of Operations, oversee the cleaning supply stock and making orders as necessary.
• Ensure facilities equipment is working properly, reporting any malfunctions to the Dean of Operations.
• Overlook tools and equipment, ensure it is properly utilized, checked out and returned.
• Working in conjunction with the Dean of Operations with the set-up and tear-down of all year-round school events at our facilities.
• Unlock doors, ensuring doors are locked after cleaning areas.
• Report needs and concerns to appropriate staff, which may include submitting or recommending work orders and checking supply levels.
• Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Dean of Operations.

Compensation Range and Particulars: $34,560.00 to $42,240.00 yearly salary depending on experience.

Schedule and Classification: Full-Time 40 hours a week position. Non-Exempt Hourly

Requirements

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Eligibility to work in the United States
• After offer is accepted, satisfactory background check as required by state law and Colorado Department of Education
• Conviction in the values of a rigorous liberal arts education
• Loyalty to the school and ACA's mission and vision
• Commitment to model moral character in line with the school's core virtues and the pursuit of the Good, True, and Beautiful
• Adherence to all ACA policies, including but not limited to the Employee Handbook, Family Handbook, and all applicable school and board policies
• Experience in commercial cleaning is preferred
