Ascent Safety is seeking a qualified safety manager for a client working in Fort Wayne, IN.
Position is 1099, local candidates preferred, 50-60 hours per week (M-F and rotating Saturday), and potential for project to go long-term.
Qualifications/Education/ Experience:
- at least 5 years safety management experience
- experience with concrete commercial construction.
- OSHA 510
- CPR/first aid certified.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of safety and health experience.
- Excellent public speaking abilities.
- Energetic, ambitious, assertive and an excellent communicator.
- Able to meet deadlines, work independently without direct supervision, as well as in a team environment.
- OSHA and regulatory safety training experience.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conducting project safety inspections and orientations.
- Observation and monitoring of worksite employees and safety practices.
- Complete document reviews, contractor correspondence, and document management.
