Ascential Technologies is Hiring a Shop Manager Near Grand Rapids, MI
- In collaboration with department leads, oversee the day-to-day operations of the shop floor.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary departments to ensure a smooth production process and goals are being met.
- Work closely with production control and purchasing team to ensure deliveries are met on time.
- Partner with the production control, purchasing and quality team to ensure processes and procedures are efficient and meet monthly for continuous improvement.
- Be a champion of the SQDC processes and boards in the respected departments.
- Train, supervise, and motivate employees to identify areas of opportunity.
- Establish OKRs for department leads and lead quarterly check-ins to check on progress. Provide support for department leads on the OKRs for the respective department employees.
- Partner with human resources to continuously improve the onboarding and training program for the shop departments.
- Support ongoing activities to maintain ISO 9001 and 17025 certifications.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or 5 years of related experience.
- Effective leadership experience leading teams of 5 . Leadership training/certification is desirable but not required.
- Working knowledge of SQDC and Gemba walks.
- Certification in Six Sigma is desirable.
- Experience in ISO certification is desirable
