Ascentist Healthcare is Hiring an Administrative Assistant Near Kansas, KS

Essential FunctionsPerform a variety of tasks in support of daily operations, including but not limited to:
  • Prepares correspondence, memos and reports in the proper format
  • Provides administrative support to hospital administration and senior staff management as requested
  • Coordinates with Facilities Technician to address maintenance issues and assists in gathering bids on building maintenance
  • Closes out and runs MC/Visa reports
  • Types leases and handles tenant phone calls
  • Assists Human Resources and other departments as needed
  • Promotes the mission, vision and values of the organization.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and participating in professional societies.
  • Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information and participating in team problem-solving methods.
  • Maintain knowledge of and comply with established policies and procedures.
  • Participates in department and clinic meetings as well as professional development activities.
  • Understands HIPAA regulations and maintains the strictest confidentiality at all times. Has read and understands the company's HIPAA Privacy Policy.
  • Complies with all regulatory requirements including OSHA, HIPAA, Ascentist Policies and Procedures and Ascentist Employee Handbook.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned/necessary.
QualificationsEducation, Experience & Certifications
  • Must possess a High Diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a minimum of one year experience providing administrative support to senior management
  • Clean background check and drug screen
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to type 40 words per minute
  • Demonstrates proven verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen, understand and ask appropriate questions
  • Proven track record in reliability and dependability
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Demonstrates effective problem solving and conflict resolution skills to foster effective work relationships
  • Demonstrates friendly, personal, and timely customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to function independently without supervision while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in an ever changing environment.
  • Proven track record in effectively planning, organizing and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain a positive, courteous demeanor with all patients and colleagues
  • Demonstrates proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email (Outlook or Gmail)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use general office equipment including phones, fax machines, copiers and other similar office technology on a regular basis
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of all internal and external communications
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Understanding of and ability to comply with all regulatory requirements including OSHA, HIPAA, Ascentist Policies and Procedures and Ascentist Employee Handbook
Desirable Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Business or a related field from an accredited college or university
  • Ability to speak and understand other languages.
