Essential Job Functions:

• Provide and/or assist with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, shaving, hair care, nail care, and general grooming.
• Assist with meals, setting up trays and feeding as needed. Records and measures intake and output of residents on monitoring.
• Assist with bowel and bladder needs by taking residents to the bathroom or offering bedpan and/or urinal every 2 hours. Provide daily catheter care where needed.
• Assist in transfers from bed to chair or chair to commode, using proper body mechanics. Assist with ambulating as directed.
• Participate in nursing techniques including: proper positioning in bed or chair, ADL training, passive ROM exercises and ambulation.
• Check and record routine vital signs and weights as assigned; report any reading that is high or low to the Nurse.
• Change bed linens as needed
• Turn and position bed‑bound residents at least every two (2) hours and provide frequent skin care for bed‑bound residents.
• Ensure that rooms are tidy/clean and organized to include closets, drawers, and bathroom
• Assist with dishes (AL), laundry, etc. as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum age ‑ eighteen (l8) years of age.
• Must have CNA I or II certification
• Must be a high school graduate or have its equivalent (GED).
• Must be able to read, write and follow instructions and document the care given.
• Current listing as CNAI with DFS with no substantiated findings.
• Must be dependable in reporting to work and performing duties.
