A. General Description:
The purpose of this position is to provide technical, analytical, and accounting support in all aspects of the budget and pension operations of the association. The incumbent is responsible for updating, testing and implementing various changes and requirements to business processes and the budget system. The incumbent assists in the preparation of financial forecasts, special analyses and graphic presentations for management and volunteer leadership. S/he serves as a primary resource for programming budget and financial reports within the organization. The incumbent performs the accounting functions associated with the administration of the defined benefit and defined contribution plans in compliance with current statutory regulations and filing and reporting deadlines.

The incumbent reports directly to the Director of Budget and Pensions. The incumbent receives broad work direction and objectives. S/he has latitude in day-to-day budget operations. Incumbent exhibits independence of thought and functions as a primary resource to the Director of Budget and Pension on matters of budget related issues and accounting entries for the pension plans. The incumbent exercises sound professional judgment about seeking outside advice when an issue is beyond available internal resources and experience.
