**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a dedicated Director to oversee operations and lead a team in a dynamic healthcare setting. As the Director of Audiology, you will plan, direct, organize and administer responsibilities with providers. This role will lead all Audiology staff by providing resources on all topics in relation to clinical practice, coordination of patient related services, continuing education, and development, along with creating and controlling clinical budgets.

**Duties:**

Strategic Planning:

  • Integrate existing organization systems and align the organization with focus on improving strategies.
  • Determine avenues to improve value of care and service. Participate in efforts to improve technology to support patient care.
  • Develop goals, standards, policies, procedures and practices of clinical care. Implement and monitor indicators of quality.
  • Promote both internal and external environment through the development and implementation of processes and programs while understanding patient’s and provider’s needs and expectations.
  • Be direct and clear to understand for the organization and its long-term goals.
  • Establish methods that align the mission, vision and strategy for the organization to promote the companies value proposition.
  • Incorporate learning and feedback, to promote continuous improvement and growth.

Leasdership:

  • Maintain personal development plan and provide management development and coaching for providers.
  • Represent Asheville ENT through involvement in professional associations and organizations.
  • Provide leadership in all clinical areas to ensure quality patient care outcomes.
  • Supports research within the division of audiology.
  • Develops and maintains a collaborative working relationship with providers and other related departments.

Human Resources:

  • Assure adequate quality and number of staff by assuring adherence to the patient services recruitment and retention plan, the diversity plan, and department productivity measures.
  • Maintain a focus on internal talent management and retention.
  • Complete evaluations within the selected timeframe. Assure that staff are actively engaged in unit, divisional, and organizational shared activities.
  • Manage the selection, development, motivation, evaluation and discipline of reporting personnel.
  • achieve the desired level of competency; document evidence of competence on an annual basis.
  • Ensure staff competency and assist with staff professional development through continuous education, literature and seminars. Monitor and manage staffing and scheduling process.

Financial Management:

  • Assure efficiencies in staffing and resource utilization by comparison with internal and external benchmarks as measured by productivity units appropriate for areas managed.
  • Research and develop opportunities for revenue development for all services.
  • Coordinate and approve purchasing requisitions, leases, vendor contracts and service contracts. Supervise the monitoring of inventory for the department; review service and maintenance contracts.

Supervision of Audiology Department:

  • Accountable for marketing activities.
  • Manages vendor relationships.
  • Assists patients with exchanges or returns as needed.
  • Involved in clinical quality outcomes, including efficiency and productivity.
  • Provides excellent customer service and maintains good public relations.
  • Shares administrative duties with colleagues as needed.
  • Performs all other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Practices good safety habits.
  • Exercises confidentiality to ensure compliance with all HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
  • Maintains cleanliness of equipment and work area.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Attends all regular staff meetings.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
