What are the responsibilities and job description for the Venue Production Manager position at Ashkenaz Music & Dance Community Center?
Reporting to the Executive Director, this position is responsible for the production of concerts for Ashkenaz.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Production/Event Management
- Advance shows with artists and agents
- Develop and enforce an understanding of protocols, policies, and use of the space
- Manage private rental events
- Oversee the smooth flow of operations of Ashkenaz productions in collaboration with the Event Manager
- Responsible for set up of sound and other production equipment in advance of shows; tear down and put away at close of show
- Work with artists from soundcheck through completion of show
Administration
- Oversee event administrative duties
- Maintain information and database with production calendar updates, information updates and reports
- Track and help develop production budget, analyze current month expenses for completeness
- Report on production issues
- Meet regularly with the Executive Director and other staff members and volunteers involved in productions
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor including participation in special projects
- Act as liaison with other internal departments
- Minimum three years of experience in concert operations required. Music venue production experience and live performance production background required.
- Understanding of technical production including lighting, audio, video. Professional experience in at least one discipline is required.
- Detail-oriented self-starter who can efficiently handle multiple projects. simultaneously, excels in a fast-paced environment, and is willing to take on a variety of tasks, with impeccable follow-through.
- Ability to thoughtfully analyze situations, problem-solve, persevere despite unfamiliar territory and desire to always strive to exceed expectations.
- Proactive, strong communicator skills with ability to remain tactful and supportive in stressful situations and with proven ability to achieve results when working collaboratively with a wide range of people, cultures, and ideas.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Driver’s license required.
