Ashley Addiction Treatment is Hiring a Book Shop Clerk (Part-time) Near Havre de Grace, MD
Position hours: 10 hours every other weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun). Position SummaryThe Oak Store Associate maintains a clean, well-organized store with a customer first focus. The duties of the Oak Store Associate will include assisting customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operating a cash register, stocking and managing merchandise and opening and closing of the store.

Position SummaryThe Oak Store Associate maintains a clean, well-organized store with a customer first focus. The duties of the Oak Store Associate will include assisting customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operating a cash register, stocking and managing merchandise and opening and closing of the store.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide great customer service; greet and assist customers.
- Follow store opening and closing procedures.
- Operate cash register and scanner for customer purchases, collect payments and make change.
- Follow Ashley procedures to receive, open and unpack boxes of merchandise; stock and stage merchandise and build merchandise displays.
- Ensure all merchandise is presented according to established practices utilizing merchandise fixtures properly including presentation, signage and product pricing.
- Practice cashier accountability, control and adherence to our standard security practices and cash control procedures.
- Maintain a clean, well-organized store and stock rooms to facilitate a safe and secure working environment.
- Models and reinforces Ashley’s mission and core values
- Performs other duties on an as-needed basis
- Protects our patient’s personal health information by maintaining compliance with HIPAA and other relevant Ashley related IT security regulations
- Reinforces Ashley’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- One year or more of retail management experience preferred.
- Great customer service skills.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Good organization skills with attention to detail.
