**Please Note: This position is based in Tampa, FL. If you are not local, relocation is required. We are an onsite and in office employer. We do provide relocation.**

As the Senior Vice President of Merchandising, you will be responsible for developing and executing the merchandising strategy. Your primary goal is to drive sales by ensuring the right products are available at the right time and place. You collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and operations.

Experience in the furniture industry is a MUST for this role.

Primary /essential responsibilities:

1. Market Analysis : Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities.
2. Product Selection : Curate a compelling assortment of products that align with customer preferences and brand identity.
3. Pricing Strategy : Determine pricing strategies based on market dynamics, cost structures, and competitive positioning.
4. Inventory Management : Optimize inventory levels to balance demand, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess inventory
5. Vendor Relations : Maintain positive relationships with suppliers, negotiate terms, and evaluate new vendors.
6. Assortment Planning : Plan product assortments for different channels (e.g., retail stores, e-commerce).
7. Promotions and Seasonal Campaigns : Develop strategies for seasonal promotions and sales events.
8. Visual Merchandising : Collaborate with visual merchandisers to create appealing in-store displays.
9. Sales Analysis : Continuously analyze sales data and adjust strategies accordingly.

Experience:

• 12 years’ experience in merchandising, preferably in home furnishings for a major retail brand, Required
• 5 years Supervisory/Management experience

• Business sensibility to identify and capitalize on current trends and incorporating them into short- and long-term merchandising plans

• Strong skills in agility, along with the ability to pivot easily when directions and priorities changes on short notice

• Respond professionally in situations with difficult employee/vendor/customer issues or inquiries
• Occasional Domestic and International Travel required
• Flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary.
