Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. Fast paced office in the summer months and a little slower in the winter months. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional service while managing various administrative tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations within our medical office and enhancing the patient experience. Would like a candidate with previous medical assisting experience including phlebotomy experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Process patient information, including insurance verification and medical history documentation.
- Assist with medical terminology to facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining health information management systems.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient service delivery.
- Support the overall operations of the medical office by performing additional duties as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a front desk or receptionist role, preferably in a medical setting.
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable to assist diverse patient populations.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and understanding of Medicare processes is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Proficient in using office equipment and software applications related to medical office management.
- Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure while providing outstanding patient service.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and improving office efficiency.
