Job Title: Suite Attendant

Department: Food & Beverage

Reports To: Assistant Director of Concessions

FLSA Status: Part-Time/Non-Exempt

Union Code: Union; Local 150, AFL-CIO

Union Dues: Yes

Pay Rate: $16.36/hour

Available Shifts: Flexible, part-time schedule including some long shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.

MUST be available to work 95% of the 2024 Syracuse Crunch schedule.

THE ROLE

As a Suite Attendant at The Oncenter, providing high quality customer service during all events, to achieve customer satisfaction and accurate accounting of all transactions, including inventory.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Provide total guest satisfaction through skilled and capable service in accordance with New York State laws and regulations as well as Company policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Greets all guests with enthusiasm and friendliness.
  • Serve alcoholic beverages in an appropriate manner consistent with company standards.
  • Answer guest questions about food, beverages, and our venue accurately and in a friendly manner.
  • Speak to guests with enthusiasm at all times.
  • Develop relationships with guests.
  • Provide the highest level of service in accordance with our standards.
  • Identify food orders when ready and deliver items to tables in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
  • Communicate with food and beverage staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Report to work as scheduled, in uniform, and ready to be in position.
  • Maintain professional relationships with all coworkers.
  • Follow checklists and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and stocked work area.
  • Perform duties as assigned.
  • Maintain full knowledge of menus, recipes, and other pertinent information.
  • Constantly increase knowledge of food, beverages, and other products and services.
  • Ensure that guests have a positive and memorable experience.
  • Responsible for constant sanitation, organization, and proper food handling.
  • Prepare work area for either opening, mid-shift, or closing in accordance with company standards.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years’ of bartending experience.

SKILLS YOU’LL NEED

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Exceptional hospitality and customer service skills, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
  • Knowledge of popular mixed drink recipes and preparation methods.
  • Ability to make professional, independent, and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.
  • Able to understand directives and utilize basic mathematical skills

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • ServSafe & TIPS certification a plus.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must have the physical ability to maneuver around the venue, at times walking and/or standing for 8-10 hours or greater, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs , and frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and squatting.
  • Ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment.
