This position is responsible for support of all Fishers Event Center technology functions on a day-to-day basis. This person will be responsible for identification, training, and support for all systems and applications needs of the Fisher Event Center’s staff, and will serve as a liaison with ASM Global Corporate Technology Departments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support IT application needs for all ASM Global staff. Development of protocols for staff technology usage. Develop, configure, test, and troubleshoot advanced CATV systems and related software/hardware components and infrastructure. Assist in installation and maintenance of wired and wireless network and/or server/client solutions and related software/hardware components and infrastructure. Troubleshooting and upgrading POS hardware, maintaining equipment transfer records, communicating with dispatchers, and solving technical problems. Function as a liaison with ASM Global IT Department regarding corporate applications and systems issues. Report creation and writing for business analysis purposes. Assistance in development of marketing and business presentation technology-related projects. Training and support for Microsoft Office usage by staff. Identification and implementation of other software applications to enhance productivity and efficiency. Provide necessary information for the proper purchase of preventative and corrective maintenance of equipment and systems. Respond to routine and emergency calls and make necessary repairs. Provide event related maintenance, services, and support. Troubleshooting of application and network problems. At least 2 years of IT support experience. Skills and Abilities Strong knowledge of business office applications and systems. Knowledge of report writing applications, including Crystal Reports, etc. Must have communication skills and keen attention to detail. Ability to translate non-technical needs communication into technical development capabilities. Excellent organizational, planning, communication and inter-personal skills. Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks. Knowledge of wireless technology applications and interface availability. Working knowledge of Palm OS and Windows CE capabilities and support. Proficiency in Windows XP support. Proficiency in LAN and Windows NT support. Extreme proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
