ASO Worldwide is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Sarasota, FL

General Summary

Provides human resources support for our employee base, with a strong focus on hourly workforce, including oversight of staffing agencies, day-to-day employee relations, benefits, new hire orientations, employee events, and support of major HR projects including open enrollment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides day-to-day knowledge and guidance regarding employment issues
  • Provides oversight of temporary staffing agencies for hourly recruitment
  • Supports compliance with government mandated procedures (ADA, FMLA, FLSA, EEO, etc.)
  • Coordinates background checks, physicals, drug screens and other pre-employment testing
  • Investigates and resolves questions and claim issues for employees
  • Responds to information requests related to workers compensation claims
  • Handles all new hire orientations including scheduling new hire introductions
  • Interprets and communicates adherence to all provisions of company policies and labor law
  • Provides oversight of employee ERP and HRIS systems

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business or communications required. SHRM certification preferred. 

Experience

  • 3 plus years of progressive human resources experience
  • Manufacturing experience preferred

Skills & Abilities

  • Bilingual proficiency, English/Spanish, preferred
  • Must possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), and enjoy working with a diverse employee base
  • Must have strong Microsoft Suite skills
  • Must have experience working with an ERP and HRIS system
  • Knowledge of HR regulations such as FMLA, FLSA, HIPPA, etc. is required
  • Knowledge of current HR and labor relations trends, and upcoming regulations
  • Should be highly organized, and be a self-starter who is able to prioritize and carry out multiple functions
  • Knowledge of manufacturing organization structure, policies and procedures preferred
