Position Summary…
The Labeling Graphic Designer has the responsibility of creating, updating, and maintaining labeling for our medical and nonmedical devices. This position will interact with other departments to assure labeling follows appropriate regulations including, but not limited to FDA 21 CFR 820 and ISO 13485.
About this Role…

• Revise and/or create new artwork for medical device product labeling, packaging, user manuals and Instructions for Use documents based on regulatory, marketing, engineering and customer requirements. Requirements include label dimensions, bar code requirements, language translations, country-specific information, type style, font size, clarity and conformity of wording and symbols, and formatting.
• Supports implementation for all Labeling projects.
• Provide artwork proofs and coordinate the creation of Label Approval forms for Labeling projects.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather, update and route regulatory and brand labeling content.
• Support brand standards and apply best print approaches to translate concepts to application.
• Ensure all labels are in accordance with FDA Quality Systems Regulations, ISO 13485, European Union Medical Device Regulation, and Canadian Medical Regulations.
• Help determine when language translation services are needed and engages proper resources.
• May support problem-solving activities for production labeling challenges outside of traditional work hours.
• Coordinate artwork changes with vendors. Reviews vendor proofs for accuracy.
• Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by Quality.

What You Need to Succeed in This Position…

• Associate's degree in graphic design or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience working with labeling and packaging preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to learn and accurately perform functions in labeling systems such as Veracity, Easy Label, Bartender, and Label Matrix.
• Ability to work effectively independently as well as a team player in a diverse work group.
• Must have strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to learn and operate Windows Operating Systems.
• Must be able to occasionally work short periods of time on the weekend or evenings to resolve labeling issues in the plants or warehouse.

Work Environment...

• This role will be onsite based in Caledonia, MI for the first 6 months of employment, then transition to a hybrid arrangement with 2-3 days in the office and the remainder of the week remote.
