About the role

Under the direction of the Claims Department Supervisor, the Claims Clerk performs the essential functions of the position, which includes but is not limited to duties as described below :

What you"ll do

• Provide support as needed to the Claim Department;
• Assist the claims department by completing special projects;
• Provide customer service to all stakeholders related to subpoenas;
• Communicate timely and effectively via various means including in person, phone, email, video conference, mail, Teams, etc.
• Produce grammatically correct and clearly written correspondence including letters, memos, reports, and claim file documentation;
• Become familiar with subpoena requirements for subpoena fulfillment and handle within regulations and legal requirements;
• Log and track status of receipt and fulfillment of records subpoenas;
• Copy claim files and provide them to the legal team to allow them to review and redact claim files for the fulfillment of subpoenas;
• Be able to answer questions regarding the status of subpoena fulfillment;
• Ensure timely fulfillment of subpoenas, including invoicing, receipt of payment, printing files, and supplying files via email, mail, or in person;
• Compile and provide records and invoices to parties presenting subpoenas;
• Comply with state and federal laws, Department of Insurance criteria, and insurance carrier criteria and follow Aspire Claims Services' / partner's policies, procedure, and work rules;
• Have regular and predictable punctuality and attendance;
• Other duties as assigned / requested.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn and understand insurance industry practices, standards, and terminology preferred;
• Must be able to pass a background check;
• Related insurance industry experience a plus;
• Proficient use of Word, Excel, Outlook, Web-based systems, and type 35 wpm;
• Must have a disciplined approach to all job-related activities;

The pay range for this role is :

20 - 24 USD per hour(Rancho Cucamonga Office)
