SYSTEM DIRECTOR - REVENUE CYCLE ANALYTICS

The System Director of Revenue Cycle Business Analytics at Aspirus Inc. is responsible for leading, planning, monitoring, and directing strategic project implementations and revenue cycle process improvement activities. This role ensures the integrity of revenue cycle performance metrics and collaborates with organizational leadership to identify and implement improvement opportunities, aiming to enhance efficiency and revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy and Planning: Partner with the Vice President of Revenue Cycle and Aspirus revenue cycle leadership to develop and achieve strategic goals, facilitate the implementation of strategic projects and process improvement activities, develop, implement, monitor, and report on key performance metrics, and conduct evaluations of revenue cycle operations to identify and recommend improvement opportunities.
  • Acquisition and Deployment: Facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders to define project requirements and ensure successful execution, work collaboratively with revenue cycle staff at all Aspirus entities to meet organizational analytic needs, and stay updated on new developments to propose new processes or technologies as appropriate.
  • Operational Management: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, maintain integrity in revenue cycle activities and facilitate the integration of electronic medical records, create, maintain, and enforce written revenue cycle analytics-related policies and procedures, and develop departmental budgets for staffing, operations, and capital resources.
  • Leadership and Management: Provide direction and leadership to ensure successful project and process improvement implementations, travel periodically to Aspirus locations to provide visibility and support, communicate pertinent information effectively to Administration, Medical Staff, and other stakeholders, and ensure the department is well-informed of changes and noteworthy events.
  • Customer Service and Collaboration: Promote a high level of customer satisfaction and ensure patient concerns are addressed promptly, partner with physicians and clinical staff to identify and address areas for improvement, implement technology solutions to support and improve customer satisfaction, and foster a collaborative team environment while supporting team development and mentoring.

Role Requirements:

  • Onsite: This role requires employees to be onsite at the Wausau Hospital location five days a week and does not permit hybrid or remote work.

Requirements:

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related health degree required. Epic Certified, PMP, CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.

Professional Experience:

  • 2-3 years of management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • 5 years of revenue cycle experience.
  • Knowledge of revenue cycle practices, healthcare analytics, and electronic medical records.

Skills:

  • Strong project management, change management, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and deal with frequent interruptions.
  • Strong personnel management skills and customer orientation.
