Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role for an Office Assistant at ASPRO PLUMBING, INC located in Jamaica, NY. The Office Assistant will be responsible for assisting with general office tasks, including answering phone calls, managing paperwork, organizing files, scheduling appointments, and providing administrative support to the team.

Responsibilities:

Phone Handling:

  • Answer incoming phone calls professionally and direct them to the appropriate person or department.

Mail and Shipping:

  • Prepare and manage outbound packages for FEDEX and USPS mail.

Timekeeping:

  • Responsible for weekly timekeeping for field employees.

Administrative Support:

  • Assist the payroll and insurance departments as needed.
  • Perform light filing and typing tasks.

Software Proficiency:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Schedule:

  • Minimum of 4 hours per day, 3 days per week.
  • Potential for additional days/hours as needed.

Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
