ASRC Federal is Hiring a Grounds Maintenance Technician Near Avon, FL
- Primarily responsible for maintaining the improved and semi-improved grounds of the Avon
- Must be particularly adept in operation of a zero-turn mower, gas trimmer, and backpack
- Must be willing and able to perform routine equipment maintenance and be able to identify and
operated.
Base work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm.
Key ResponsibilitiesFunctional requirements include all associated tasks involved in maintaining site landscaping to include
lawns, trees, shrubs, flower beds, and irrigation systems. Such tasks include but are not limited to:
- Operating pickup truck and trailer to transport landscaping equipment to and from work sites on
- Operating, fueling, and maintaining mowers and power tools including power saws, pressure
- Trimming trees, hedges and shrubs.
- Operating and maintaining hand tools, such as loppers, saws and shovels.
- Keeping grounds free from trash, litter and debris.
- Hauling and spreading mulch.
- Have minimum two years of specifically related work experience and five years or greater
- Meet and maintain required government security requirements.
- Have high school diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent.
- Possess and maintain a valid FL driver’s license.
- Be able to pass a background check.
- Possess competent written and verbal communications skills to include ability to complete
- Have ability to self-identify and self-perform work.
- Provide for, demonstrate, and always maintain a safe working environment.
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks involving lifting at least 50 lbs.
- Experience working on heavy equipment such as tractors and forklifts.
- Experience performing equipment maintenance
- Knowledge of DoD and preferably US Air Force regulations and processes.
