ASRC Federal is Hiring a Logistics Specialist (supporting Air Force Research Lab) Near Edwards, CA
ASRC Federal requires a highly motivated Logistics Specialist to support the ASTROS Contract as an Associate Logistics Analyst. We are looking for someone to support our Shipping and Receiving Warehouse. The successful candidate will support our Logistics on a contract level. Support incoming and outgoing shipments, accurately account for all incoming items and ensure quality stock has arrived.
Role/Responsibilities
- Must be able to learn the ASRC Federal Acquisition system and quickly function in it.
- Understand the Quality Control and Quality Assurance requirements of items ordered by all work locations.
- Provide an accurate receiving inventory.
- Operate in the ASRC Federal Supply Database.
- Is able to express thoughts in a clear concise manner both orally and written; ability to communicate well in person, over the phone and through E-mail.
- Ability to respond to changing business requirements and priorities.
- Review all Bill of Materials for the Purchasing Process.
- Coordinate deliveries of all shipments for the Test Area supported.
Requirements
- Must have computer experience.
- Must have experience with Quality Control and Quality Assurance and track associated documents.
- Receive incoming shipments and provide detailed inspections and count.
- Maintain contract inventory supply levels of support material.
- Able to follow through with a purchase request to purchase order and receipt of material.
- Good oral and written communication skills and analytical capabilities required.
- Must have a valid CA driver's license.
- Work may also require being around moving machinery and equipment.
- Attendance is critical at all times during normal duty hours. Work outside of normal duty hours may be required with as little as one hour advance notice.
- Must be willing to work outdoors at times when weather can be extremely cold or extremely hot.
- Job requires working at different elevations.
- BA Degree or Equivalent level of experience
- up to 2 years of related experience.
- Must be able to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance
- Must be able to understand and follow instructions.
- Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
- Must be able to work in a team atmosphere and demonstrate leadership that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.
