ASRC Federal is Hiring a Project Manager (supporting Air Force Research Lab) Near Edwards, CA

ASRC Federal requires a highly skilled Project Manager to support the ASTROS Contract. Come be a part of our Team as we build up new systems and see them move from testing into the world’s future technology. We are looking for someone with a test experience in a propulsion environment. ASRC Federal is supporting cutting edge propulsion systems testing at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and we are looking for the best people to be a part of this research.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure communication is occurring between vendors, customers, ASRC teammates and associated projects
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in Fabrication and Propulsion Systems Buildup
  • Experience managing a project in a test environment
  • Perform site visits and engage with Technicians, Engineers and Logistics personnel
  • Review and understand the requirements of the assigned project
  • Support several Work Plans with the Air Force Research Lab as a Project Manager
  • Manage weekly cost and provide required reporting to contract management and customers
  • Reviewing all project schedules with meeting milestones in mind
  • Monitor ASTROS resource management
  • Meet with ASTROS Program team on a regular basis to obtain project status
  • Report project successes to contract management

This position is offering a pay range of $115,000 - $173,040 depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. Requirements
  • Experience in using Microsoft Project
  • Must have experience directing the work of staff assigned to support a project
  • Demonstrated experience in the preparation of Statements of Work
  • Experience in establishing and/or monitoring milestones in a project schedule
  • Experience working as a Project Manager
  • Experience in Preventative Maintenance
  • Served as a Subject Matter Expert in Fabrication
  • Demonstrated engineering experience
  • Must have great customer service skills and able to communicate the status of project and understand deadlines.
  • Must have ability to manage a defined schedule and communicate any deviations
  • Report any perceived anomalies immediately
  • Must be able to gain access to the customer’s computer networks.
  • Prompt and steady attendance is vital to the success of this position.
  • Must place Safety ahead of everything else. All support must be well thought out, with safety in mind, before started
  • Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a similar discipline from an accredited college or university is required
  • 8 years experience in leading Projects is required
  • Experience leading a project buildup in the Aerospace industry is a plus
  • Clearance:
  • Must be able to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance
