Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Associate to join our procurement team. The Purchasing Associate will be responsible for assisting the Purchasing Manager in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, goods, and services. The Purchasing Associate will conduct data entry associated with purchase orders and perform monthly reconciliations. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in sourcing and purchasing materials, goods, and services based on company requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
- Coordinate with project managers and maintenance staff to determine procurement needs, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Resolve supplier issues and concerns in a timely manner.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery time, and pricing.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market conditions.
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Assistant, Purchasing Coordinator, or similar role.
- Solid knowledge of purchasing processes, policies, and systems.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office applications. Experience with Viewpoint Vista ERP system is a plus
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
