Hours: Monday - Friday; 3:15pm - 12:15am

Position Summary

Assists Production Supervisor and Production Manager in meeting all customer orders within the cells areas. Train and cross train employees along with the ability to operate any machine.

Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities

• Ensure safety guidelines and PPE are being adhered to.
• Ensure quality standards and SOP’s are being followed on all 3 shifts.
• Able to train and assist operators and material handlers in the cells and sidelock area.
• Monitor and compare customer orders with cell schedules to maintain on-time delivery to customers – both external and internal (Hand Assembly).
• Monitor and facilitate 5S and that good housekeeping is being adhered to on all 3 shifts.
• Work and provide feedback to all 3 shift supervisors to report any issue needing addressed by supervision.
• Troubleshoot and help diagnose and remedy errors and issues stemming from machines.
• Provide feedback to the maintenance department on reoccurring issues.
• Fill in as operator in the case of missing operators.
• Provide daily report(s) to supervisor for reporting purposes.
• Make sure daily paperwork is being filled out by operators such as production logs and downtime.
• Interact effectively with various levels of professionals in the organization effectively.
• Good written communication, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to resolve production issues.
• Communicate with Engineering/Quality Control about quality or product related items.
• Operate all material handling equipment both manual and powered.
• Maintains accurate records.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Previous Group Leader or Supervisory experience, preferred
• Good mechanical skills
• Ability to foresee changes relevant to area of responsibility
• Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner to achieve intended objective
• Ability to be organized
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic Computer skills
• Must be able to lift, push or pull minimum of 50 lbs.
