What you will be doing:
- Responsible for proposing cost savings projects and delivering annual cost savings target
- Evaluate new and existing suppliers for all purchases assigned
- Responsible for identifying process improvements within procurement
- Responsible for recommending alternatives to products specified by Engineering and sales.
- Responsible for analyzing costs for purchased products
- Assemble facts and data in order to make an informed decision on issues related to pricing, delivery, and quality.
- Responsible for processing daily purchase orders, follow up on confirmations and late material deliveries
- Responsible for tracking quality issues related to suppliers and managing corrective actions
- Bachelor Degree Preferred – Preferably Supply Chain Management, Business, Accounting, or Engineering
- Procurement experience directly related to sourcing and purchase order management preferred
- Experience with Raw Materials and manufacturing related sourcing, preferred
- Experience in managing supplier performance objectives (quality, price, delivery)
- Strong oral and written communication skills required
- Strong organizational skills required
- Analytical and problem solving skills required
- Strong Excel skills required
