Job Summary:
As a Self-Storage Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and cleanliness of our self-storage facilities. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, addressing repair requests, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization throughout the property. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.Responsibilities:Conduct routine inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and cleanliness issues.
Perform maintenance and repairs on storage units, doors, locks, gates, fences, lighting systems, and other facility infrastructure.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from customers and address issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment and facilities are operating efficiently and safely. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of supplies.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of the property, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.
Assist in snow removal and landscaping tasks as needed.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and guidelines.
Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, providing information about the facility, and addressing concerns or complaints.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in maintenance, facilities management, or related field preferred.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general carpentry skills.
Ability to operate maintenance equipment and tools safely and effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks as required.
