Associated Compressor & Equipment is Hiring a Parts Inventory Specialist Near Livermore, CA

We are currently looking for a Shipping and receiving person to join our team!

Basic Function:

This position requires a highly organized person to research part number, price, and availability of repair parts for air compressors, vacuum pumps, and related equipment. The Parts Research Specialist is responsible for identifying and sourcing repairs parts as described by the technicians in their work order reports. The Parts Research Specialist is required to maintain existing relationships, and establish new relationships, with vendors and suppliers as needed in order to get the most accurate information available in the fastest timeline possible.

Job Responsibilities:

· Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers through excellent responsiveness, and communication.

· Use make, model, and serial number information to identify the correct replacement parts for our customers’ equipment.

· Communicate with Tech Support and Technicians, as well as reference parts manuals, to make sure we get all the items (gaskets, o-rings, etc.) needed to complete a repair.

· Update customer equipment files with drawings, manuals, and other technical documents when received.

· Check all shipments for accurate purchase order numbers, part numbers and quantities.

· Receive items into the computer system, identify items directly related to open orders, and stage all items accordingly.

· Pull pending service jobs from general inventory on a daily basis

· Forward completed work orders to the Service office for scheduling

· Dispatch service and repair parts to the Technicians according to their assigned work orders. Verify that the parts and quantities match the work orders before the job is allowed to leave the building.

· Notify customers of completed will call orders read for pick-up.

· Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and secure at all times with no exceptions.

· Coordinate and track outbound shipments to customers and remote warehouses as needed.

Key Performance Indicators:

· Turnaround time for new work orders and quotes

· Parts accuracy and completeness

· WIP Aging Status

Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. College coursework or technical training in a relevant field preferred.
  • Three to five years of customer service, scheduling, or related industry experience preferred.

Knowledge & Skills:

· General knowledge of industrial products and equipment including but not limited to air compressors, vacuum pumps and air treatment.

· Strong computer skills.

· Must have exceptional and prompt communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Ability to multi-task effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
