Membership Specialist (AUSA National Partner Program)

The Association of the United States Army (AUSA) is seeking a talented Membership professional to join our expanding and dynamic Membership operation. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Industry Development, the Membership Specialist will provide professional level support to our National Partner Program.

AUSA National Partners are large and small businesses, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and professional organizations interested in personalized engagement with the Army at the local and national levels. Participation ensures that National Partners of AUSA will remain informed about the Army's plans, programs, and ever-changing acquisition requirements.

AUSA has a 37.5-hour work week with shortened workday on Friday (8am-1:30pm) and hybrid remote work schedule (3 days in office and 2 days remote). Specific Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs professional and administrative duties of the National Partner Program which includes National Partner member record updates, renewal emails, and calls.
  • Ensures timely and accurate invoicing monthly to National Partners.
  • Updates National Partner rosters efficiently and accurately in AUSA Member Database.
  • Coordinates Featured Member of the Month on AUSA website with National Partners and IT Department.
  • Assists the Deputy Director with Coordination of the National Partner Related events at the AUSA Annual Meeting (National Partner Breakfast, Sales Office, and Industry Reception).
  • Prepares National Partner Marketing for each of AUSA's symposia and events.
  • Tracks National Partner renewals for monthly reports.
  • Responds to requests for information regarding the National Partner Program and other membership opportunities at AUSA.
  • Processes New Members via AUSA's Application system.
  • Manages National Partners in AUSA's Industry Guide.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of Membership and customer service experience is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem solving, interpersonal relationships, oral communication, judgment, planning and organizing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) along with other database type systems.
  • Highly motivated, flexible and self-starter.

Work Environment:

Candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced, pressure-filled, deadline-oriented position with minimal supervision. Ability to travel 2-3 times per year is a requirement. Ability to function as part of a team is a must.
