ABOUT THE ROLE

Associations International (AI) is an association management company based in Lexington, KY, who partners with non-profit trade and career associations. Our job is to help those non-profits meet their mission and grow their membership through the work of our talented, dedicated team. 

Our client partner, the International Coaching Federation (ICF), is seeking an Assistant Director of Member and Industry Research to join the Member and Industry Research team! The Assistant Director of Member and Industry Research assists in leading and managing all member and industry research activities of One ICF. This role supports and the development and implementation of research strategies to gain insights into member behavior needs and satisfaction to improve member engagement. The Assistant Director of Member and Industry Research will work collaboratively across all ICF family organizations and departments to develop surveys, analysis, and reports within the research agenda. The Assistant Director of Member and Industry Research will report to the Director of Member and Industry Research.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

  • Engage in collaborative discussions with ICF family organizations and departments to identify research needs, review past research endeavors (both within ICF and externally), and propose potential synergies or opportunities for combining and leveraging existing research areas
  • Provide guidance to ICF family organizations and departments on selecting the most appropriate research methodologies (both qualitative and quantitative), crafting survey questions and scales using industry best practices, and establishing project timelines and communication strategies for survey distribution
  • Manage the entire survey process, from programming and testing to delivery, ensuring surveys are executed and meet the approval of ICF family organizations and departments. Offer technical support and assistance to survey respondents as needed, and deliver comprehensive reports featuring data tables, charts, graphs, and analysis of verbatim comments
  • Assist the Director of Member and Industry Research by serving as liaison between ICF and industry research vendors
  • Support the strategic development of specific, measurable goals, key performance indicators, and an accountability framework to track progress and success metrics
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Undergraduate degree and a minimum of two years of quantitative and qualitative research experience in research roles, including project management and data analysis responsibilities
  • Experience with research methodologies and data analysis
  • Experience in research methodologies, data collection techniques, and statistical analysis software
  • Experience managing and working with volunteers
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple research projects simultaneously
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends and patterns and draw meaningful insights to support decision-making
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare research reports, presentations and other deliverables
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection, analysis and reporting
  • Ability to remain flexible and adaptive to changes in work environment
  • Committed to continuous learning and development
  • Demonstrate the highest level of ethical behavior
  • Strong ability to work individually on a project and collaboratively in a team environment in order to manage broad and diverse cross-constituent working groups
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and related software
  • Proficiency of online survey platforms (e.g. Qualtrics, Verint, SurveyMonkey, etc.)
