Breckenridge Insurance has an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst in our Kennesaw office. This is an in-office position. The potential for a hybrid schedule will be possible after 6 months, contingent on performance and business needs.

What You'll Do

  • Review and analyze financial statements and reports.
  • Prepare financial reports: complete monthly internal reports for senior management.
  • Create ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Assist with budget preparation.
  • Assist with the monthly close processes.
  • Perform research and analysis as required.
  • Ensure compliance with financial guidelines, company policies, and relevant legal regulations.
  • Review outgoing payments and handle check signing.
  • Assist Controller with ERP and Agency Management System transitions.
  • All other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (or related field of study), required.
  • CPA or CPA candidate required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience.
  • Strong Excel skills: Experience with large data sets in excel and pivot tables is required.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure as part of a fast-paced team, with ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize consistently and appropriately.
  • Ability to be detail-oriented and to meet constant deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to details.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills; proven ability to research, follow up, and resolve complex issues or problems.
