Job Title: Junior Quality Assurance Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior QA Analyst to join our Quality Assurance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the testing and validation of software applications to ensure they meet our quality standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Test Planning and Execution:
• Assist in the creation and execution of detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing on various software applications.
• Defect Tracking and Reporting:
• Identify, record, document, and track defects using appropriate tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Work closely with development teams to ensure defects are understood, prioritized, and resolved.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure the quality of the product.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives as part of the Agile team.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Create and maintain detailed test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Provide regular updates on test progress, quality metrics, and defect status to the QA Lead/Manager.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Assist in the development and implementation of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies in software testing.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
• Skills and Competencies:
• Basic understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with testing tools (e.g., Selenium, TestRail) and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and concepts.
• Experience:
• 0-2 years of experience in software testing or a related field.
• Experience with automated testing tools is a plus but not required.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments is a plus.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
