SUMMARY: Works in the field performing electrical work for the purposes of installing asphalt plants

• Troubleshoot asphalt plant controls.
• Read and understand plant electrical schematics
• Pull and connect cables from asphalt plant to the Control Center.
• Build cable tray on plant components and build plant power panels as necessary.
• Cut and thread conduit and build conduit runs.
• Make necessary modifications in plant wiring.
• Safely weld conduit supports as necessary.
• Safely use cutting torch as necessary.
• Be properly trained in Electrical Safety.
• Trained and knowledgeable on Lockout/Tagout
• Must follow all Astec, Inc. safety rules and requirements.
• Must follow all company policy requirements.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Knowledge of the National Electric Code and UL requirements.
• Ability to select proper components, size starters, breakers, wiring and conduit.
• Ability to read electrical ladder diagrams and mechanical drawings.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of PLC’s/No Programming Required.
• Associates degree or equivalent knowledge/experience in a related field.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work overtime as needed.
