We are searching for an Accounting / Office Assistant to join a reputable company local to the Bend, OR area. This is a great opportunity for somebody who wants to make an impact in their community, while developing administrative skills and furthering their career!

Responsibilities :

  • Manage assigned accounts to maintain acceptable levels of delinquency, balances and chargebacks as defined by the AR Dashboard and other metrics as established
  • Accurately apply cash receipts in compliance with customer’s remittance advice, and in accordance with company policy
  • Demonstrate problem solving ability while researching disputes to resolve payment discrepancies. Charges back to customers, makes AR adjustments, issues or coordinates issuance of credit memos as necessary to resolve disputes
  • Identify delinquent receivables using AR Dashboard and other tools as provided. Contacts customers via telephone, email, mail, or fax to collect payment.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date account records
  • Follows up as necessary to ensure that payments are received as required
  • Step in and assist with general office duties as needed

Requirements and Qualifications :

  • 1 year of general office experience required, OR a bachelor's degree with no experience
  • Experience in the property management industry preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite, including intermediate Excel skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of general accounting terminology such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Invoices, Reconciliations etc.
