Aston Veterinary Hospital is looking for an experienced customer service representative to join our dynamic reception team. Located in Media, PA, our busy and progressive small animal practice offers a flexible schedule that includes a mix of weekdays, weekends, and evening shifts. Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain high volume of calls with clients
- Offer professional and welcoming greetings and assistance to all clients
- Effectively schedule appointments
- Triage medical needs for patients by phone to manage appropriate appointment schedules
- Strong communication skills with our team and clients
- Ensure that the Reception area and other areas of the hospital maintain clean, professional, and welcoming atmosphere
- Accurately process financial transactions and reconcile financial information as required throughout each shift
- Receive and effectively process client requests for prescription medications, foods, and medical documentation (i.e. vaccination certificates, diagnostic reports, and patient histories)
- Record thorough and accurate information in client records, patient medical records, communication requests to medical staff, and appointment notes
- Appropriately address client inquiries and requests in a timely and consistent manner
Qualifications:
- Previous customer service, knowledge of veterinary medicine is a plus
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- ​Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Problem solver who can prioritize and multi-task appropriately
- Ability to remain calm and have confidence in stressful situations
