Pre Commercial Director Macclesfield (UK) Gartuna (Sweden) & Gaithersburg (USA)Are you ready to take on a key leadership role in our Therapy Area teams within Global Supply Chain & Strategy?
Introduction to Role:As a Pre Commercial Director, you will align, lead, collaborate and influence across functional barriers. You will partner with Global commercial teams in the development and delivery of brand strategies, establishing the supply chain and executing global launches of new products. With our growing portfolio of new products and increasing complexity of launches, we need you to help us accelerate the pace of our launches and launch earlier in International markets.
About Global Supply Chain & StrategyGlobal Supply Chain & Strategy (GSC&S) is responsible for driving and delivering value from AstraZeneca’s product supply chains. Its focus is on using maximum competitive advantage by enabling end-to-end supply chain integration and embedding Lean as one of our key strategic drivers. We are located across the UK, US and Sweden and our priorities are to optimise AstraZeneca's manufacturing and supply assets and drive supply chain performance, whilst also embedding and standardising ways of working.
Key Accountabilities:As a Pre Commercial Director, you will lead Global Operations Launch Teams (GOLT) to successfully execute global launches. You will engage actively with partners across the business to understand the global launch expectations, market scope and any need for acceleration. You will apply your specialist knowledge and skills in project/program management, project planning and methodologies to deliver launch stock in time to markets. You will also manage one or more key business processes. In accordance with our values, you will deliver the solutions needed by being entrepreneurial and patient focussed.

Essential Skills/Experience:
- Supply Chain knowledge and experience
- Knowledge and understanding of the NPI / New Product Introduction processes
- Experience of working with new products
- Experience of working cross-functionally with R&D and Commercial
- Experience of working with Operations functions particularly Global External Sourcing and Sites
- Ability to engage with senior management in Operations and cross-functionally
- Project/programme management capability
- Good understanding of Risk Management
- Ability to work collaboratively globally
